National Accounts Services

The Waste Management National Accounts program is the most comprehensive and mature program of its kind. Waste Management is committed to providing a "one-stop shop" for all of your waste and recycling service needs.

Total Management Program
Waste Management's Total Management Program (TMP) has been designed to meet the special needs of large, national companies. TMP is a comprehensive waste and recycling services program that:

  • Provides high levels of service quality and reliability from a total environmental service supplier
  • Helps our large customers achieve improved margins for all waste and recycling services
  • Includes a wide range of technical support and management reporting
  • Minimizes the financial risks associated with environmental liabilities

Single Point of Contact
Each national account is assigned a National Account Manager (NAM) with direct responsibility for all aspects of the customer relationship and overall responsibility for ensuring a high level of service and customer satisfaction.

Streamlined Implementation
When a multi-location company makes a decision to create a national program, detailed planning is required to ensure a smooth transition. Waste Management's experienced and dedicated team develops a detailed plan jointly with each new National Account customer to ensure that services in all locations are successfully implemented on schedule.

National Accounts Service Center
The National Accounts Service Center (NASC) provides service support for customers who prefer to have all requests handled centrally. With over 19 years since the national accounts program was created, it is the most mature and experienced in the industry

Invoice Services
Waste Management offers National Account customers an accurate and timely consolidated bill that is the most comprehensive and automated in the industry. Consolidated billing eliminates the administrative burden of reconciling and paying multiple statements each month. Consolidated billing can include both Waste Management-serviced locations and locations serviced by third parties and managed by Waste Management. EDI and EFT are available.

Industrial Specialists
Experienced Industrial National Accounts specialists are available to support customers with special and hazardous wastes services in industries including oil and gas, petrochemical, automotive, manufacturing and technology. Many customers also participate in the ISO 14001-certified Upstream program.

Liability Protection
The disposal of wastes can present a liability to the waste generator. Waste Management's comprehensive environmental compliance programs make it possible for us to provide indemnification for waste materials disposed of at Waste Management-owned landfills. Indemnification is backed by Waste Management's asset base of over $20 billion, the largest in the environmental services industry.

Management Reports
Management reports are available for National Accounts customers to help track results and help customers reach KPIs and other goals. Using the knowledge gained from these reports, we can help our customers improve their results and reach waste minimization goals.

Customer Satisfaction Measurement
The National Accounts Department conducts surveys to measure the level of customer satisfaction and identify areas that may require improvement.
